About Daniela Veloza

Daniela was born in South Florida, growing up in a mosaic community of new Americans and with ample access to her favorite pastime — swimming. Recruited and trained as a long-distance swimmer for Colombia, she became an 18-time Colombian national medalist and Junior World Championships athlete, valuing most the connection to her heritage and early global exposure.

At Harvard College, Daniela managed The Harvard Shop retail store chain and later became the first Chief Operating Officer of Harvard Student Agencies, one of the world’s largest student-run enterprises supporting over 600 student employees. She graduated cum laude with degrees in economics and philosophy. After college, she built her strategic foundation at Bain & Company and Coca-Cola FEMSA in Mexico, gaining exposure to how large organizations operate — and the responsibility that comes with impact at scale.

The PD Soros Fellowship supported Daniela’s MBA at Harvard Business School as she explored the next chapter of her career. During business school, the rapid rise of AI sparked her interest in technology and the practical challenges of responsible adoption within complex institutions. She pursued that interest through a summer internship in Qatar with Scale AI’s International Public Sector team.

Today, Daniela is an Engagement Manager at Scale AI, working with global enterprise partners to translate business priorities into applied, reliable AI systems. Her longtime interest in bridging cultures and institutions continues to shape her focus on technologies that create durable value and expand access to opportunity.
