About Sava Berhané

Sava Berhané was born to Ethiopian parents. In high school, she was a competitive Certamen player in the National Junior Classical League and an accomplished basketball player including as a nominee for the McDonald’s All-American games. 

She graduated from Mount Holyoke College at the top of her class. She then joined the Obama for America campaign as a member of the national policy team before entering a career in corporate finance and M&A at GE. 

Most recently, Sava served as the founding CEO of eCaring, an early stage medical software development company, where she led the design of a caregiver management platform and mobile app. She took this role after spending several years leading and consulting private-equity backed companies growing through acquisition. 

Sava periodically teaches negotiations and business fundamentals as a senior lecturer at Brandeis University. She has a J.D. from Yale Law School.
