About Sachin Jain

Sachin H. Jain, MD, MBA, is Chief Executive Officer of SCAN Group and SCAN Health Plan, where he leads one of the nation's largest nonprofit healthcare organizations dedicated to keeping older adults healthy and independent. Under his leadership, SCAN has evolved from a Medicare Advantage health plan into a diversified healthcare organization delivering both health plan and care delivery services across six states. Today, SCAN is an $8 billion organization serving more than 440,000 members while advancing innovative models of care that improve health outcomes and expand access to high-quality, personalized care for older adults.

Previously, Dr. Jain was President and CEO of CareMore and Aspire Health, which served 200,000 Medicare and Medicaid patients in 32 states. He also served as Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer at Merck & Co., was Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and was the first Deputy Director for policy and programs at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). 

The son of immigrants from Rajasthan, India, Dr. Jain graduated from Harvard College and earned his MD from Harvard Medical School and MBA from Harvard Business School. He is an adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine and a practicing Academic Hospitalist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He serves on the boards of Omada Health, Advantage Healthcare Services and UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
