Yulian Ramos
Yulian Ramos is the deputy director for the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. Yulian oversees the financial management of the program and the selection process, in addition to working closely with Fellows to ensure they have the best experience possible. As an immigrant and first-generation college graduate, Yulian is deeply committed to the mission of the Fellowship program and connecting Fellows with meaningful mentorship. She received her BA in Latin American literature from Barnard College and earned an MS in nonprofit management from the Milano School for Management and Urban Policy at the New School for Social Research. Previously, Yulian was the operations manager and program officer for the Charles H. Revson Foundation, where she monitored and tracked $4 million in grants and initiatives. Born in Honduras, Yulian is a proud member of the Garifuna community. In the past, Yulian has been active in the NYC Library Awards Philanthropic Review Committee, NYBIP (Blacks in Philanthropy), and the Center for Community and Ethnic Media. In her spare time, Yulian can be found exploring Washington Heights, hiking, traveling, and writing about her encounters with New York City.
