About AbdulRasheed Alabi

DR. ABDULRASHEED ALABI is currently a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician-scientist, Roman DeSanctis Clinical Scholar in the Division of Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and John S. LaDue Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School. He has published multiple articles studying how brain cells communicate and how proteins use electrical gradients to drive mammalian physiology. Currently he splits his time between patient care at MGH and investigating how the nervous system controls cardiovascular function in health and disease. Originally from Nigeria, he obtained his BSc in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University followed by MD/PhD degrees at Stanford Medical School as a 2010 Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow. He has a longstanding commitment to the education, mentoring, and recruitment of individuals from diverse groups under-represented in science and medicine, and has served on the Cardiology Fellowship selection committee at MGH.
