About Dora Castañeda Rodriguez

Dora Castañeda Rodriguez is a partner physician anesthesiologist with Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) in San Bernardino County. Dora is the daughter of Mexican immigrants who settled in Los Angeles in 1974.

Dora graduated cum laude from University of California at Irvine in 2001 with a BS in biological sciences. She received her MD from Stanford University.

In pursuit of her medical degree, Dora published three scientific papers on her work on epilepsy at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

She became interested in leadership and personal development at the beginning of her anesthesia practice and currently is Director of Physician Development for San Bernardino County SCPMG. 

She is a certified instructor for Franklin Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.

She has been married for almost 10 years, is an active mother to two girls ages 4 and 8, and passionately pursues her interests outside of medicine including high intensity interval training and blogging.
