About Rina Thomas White

RINA THOMAS WHITE is a Partner at Twain Capital, which invests in lower-middle market privately-held companies.

Rina was born in New Orleans to parents from Kerala, India who passed on a strong Catholic faith tradition to her. Through the Huntsman Program at UPenn, she pursued a joint degree in international studies and business. Rina returned home to Louisiana after graduation to work on post-Katrina recovery, first at the state department of economic development and then as a policy advisor to Governor Jindal.

She received her JD from Harvard Law, during which time she volunteered as a legal aid attorney.

Prior to Twain Capital, Rina advised telecom, utilities and manufacturing companies as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company. She also acquired and operated a Mississippi-based distributor of commercial laundry equipment, which made the Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing privately-held companies in America.

Rina lives in Jackson, Mississippi with her husband and three kids. She volunteers with Innovate Mississippi and is a parishioner at St. Richard Church.
