About Sushma Sheth Ray

Sushma is Chief Change Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Prior to joining the century-old healthcare institution, Sushma was a senior executive at Accenture Strategy, advising Fortune 100 companies, governments, and NGOs facing strategic, culture, and leadership challenges. Originally from Miami, she cofounded the community-based social justice organization, Miami Workers Center, and helped build other local and national coalitions for progressive change. 

Sushma serves on the National Council of Graywolf Press, advisor to National Domestic Workers Association Labs, and frequents as visiting faculty at Harvard Kennedy School.

Sushma is a 2009 Paul and Daisy Soros New American Fellow, Harvard Center for Public Leadership Dubin Fellow, Miami Fellow, New American Fellow and one of Miami’s 2005 Power Women. She earned an AB from Brown University, MBA from Kellogg School of Management and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. Daughter of Indian immigrants and small business owners, Sushma currently resides in Brooklyn with her partner and puppy.
