After graduating he spent three years in his native Israel, first as a software engineer and later as a Fulbright scholar in the department of mathematics and computer science at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He then returned to the USA to enroll in the Harvard-MIT MD/PhD program, where he completed a PhD in computer science in 2018 and an MD through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology medical program in 2020.
