About Alexander Berman

Alexander was born in Skokie, IL to Russian-Jewish parents who came to the United States as refugees. He studied visual art and documentary at Harvard University and received an MFA from the American Film Institute for Film Directing.

His first novel, LOVE GOES VIRAL, is a coming-of-age love story set in the world of overnight internet stardom. It was published by Simon & Schuster in January 2026 to rave reviews and has been translated into multiple languages. He also directed a season of ATTAWAY GENERAL on Hulu that received over 50 million views and developed an original show for NBC International.

Currently, he is working on his second novel, a contemporary romantic comedy set in Provence. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
