About Eric Sheu

ERIC SHEU is beginning an advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital from June 2013.

Eric was born in the United States to parents who emigrated from Taiwan. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eric graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, where he majored in biochemistry and did research in cellular immunology. He received a Marshall Scholarship to Oxford University to complete a doctorate in immunology. Involved in peer counseling at Harvard University and offering piano lessons to local inner-city high school students, he also conducted field research on malaria in Kenya while at Harvard Medical School. Eric earned his MD degree in the Harvard and MIT HST Program and in June 2013 will complete a general surgery residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Eric's wife is Nancy Cho. They reside in Massachusetts.
