About Hani Elias

Hani Elias is a healthcare entrepreneur who builds companies designed to improve the cost, quality, and experience of patient care. He is the co-founder and CEO of Leap, whose mission is to make life-changing speciality medicine accessible without unnecessary cost or complexity.

Hani is also a co-founder and director of Monarch MD, Inc., a healthcare company building a new model for women’s care by helping leading physicians create membership-based practices with greater autonomy, deeper patient relationships, and stronger operational support.

Previously, Hani was the co-founder and CEO of Lumere, a venture-backed healthcare technology company that helped health systems reduce unwarranted clinical variation and lower the cost of care. Lumere was acquired by GHX in 2020.

Earlier in his career, Hani worked at McKinsey & Company in Dubai, where he focused on healthcare delivery and reform across the Gulf Cooperation Council. He also co-founded CollegeCorps, a nonprofit organization focused on international development that received support from the Gates Foundation.

Hani completed a joint JD/MPH at Harvard University in 2008 and graduated from Harvard College in 2005 with a concentration in Social Studies. He was a Gates Millennium Scholar, a John Harvard Scholar, and received a grant from the Harvard University Human Rights Committee.

Hani was born a U.S. citizen in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, to parents of Egyptian origin.
