About Indra Sen

Indra Sen is a small business owner, investor, and firefighter who lives in his hometown of Ridgefield, Connecticut.

Indra was born in Connecticut to immigrants from China and India. Thanks to Ridgefield’s K–12 public schools, he had the opportunity to attend Georgetown University, where he received a Truman Scholarship, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and earned the Thomas P. McTighe Prize, the university’s highest honor. Indra later earned a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he received a Harvard Public Service Fellowship and Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship.

As a small business owner, Indra grew two businesses to more than 75 employees. While working in the Mayor’s Office of Connecticut’s largest municipality, he helped secure state and federal funding to expand access to pre-K, reduce debt, and support economic development initiatives.

Indra previously worked on a winning presidential campaign, co-founded a nonprofit recognized by President Clinton, and led construction teams in post-Katrina Louisiana. He has advised CEOs and served as a management consultant to corporations, foundations, endowments, and nonprofit organizations. Indra also has investment experience across real estate, public markets, fixed income, private investments, and credit markets. As a firefighter, he has helped rescue people from overturned vehicles and fought structure fires.

Indra is married to his college sweetheart, Christine. They are the proud parents of two sons who attend Ridgefield Public Schools and a daughter.
